Design Studio & Asset Library

Customize QR code designs and manage logos and images for your organization

What is the Design Studio?

The Design Studio is a built-in tool that lets you customize how your QR codes look. You can choose dot patterns, corner styles, colors, and add a logo in the center—all with a live preview that updates as you change options.

How to use the Design Studio

The Design Studio opens as a modal when you create or edit a QR code:

  • Open the Design Studio by clicking the design / style option when creating or editing a QR code.
  • Adjust options on the right: dot pattern, corner style (outer and inner), foreground and background colors, and optional logo.
  • Watch the live preview on the left. Changes apply instantly so you can see exactly how the QR code will look.
  • Click "Apply design" to save your choices to the QR code, or "Cancel" to discard changes.

Design options

You can customize:

  • Dot pattern: square, rounded, dots, classy, classy rounded, or extra rounded
  • Corner style (outer): square, dot, or extra rounded
  • Corner style (inner): square or dot
  • Foreground color: the color of the QR pattern (default black)
  • Background color: the area behind the pattern (default white)
  • Logo: add an image from your Asset Library in the center of the QR code
  • Logo size and margin: control how large the logo is and the white space around it

New QR codes use fixed default styling (square, black, white). You can save and load design presets (Starter: 1 slot, Pro: 10 slots) in the Design Studio or from Settings → Design Presets. To apply a design to multiple QR codes at once, select the codes on the dashboard, open More actions → Apply design, then choose Default design or one of your presets.

Design presets

Where to manage presets

Go to Settings → Design Presets. There you can see a preview of each saved preset, create a new design (which opens the Design Studio), or edit an existing preset. Presets are saved to slots (Starter: 1 slot, Pro: 10 slots).

Using presets in the Design Studio

When you create or edit a QR code and open the Design Studio, you can save your current design to a preset slot ("Save current design") or load a preset ("Load" dropdown) to apply it to the QR code you are editing. This lets you reuse the same look across many codes.

Applying a preset to multiple QR codes

On the dashboard, select multiple QR codes using the checkboxes, then click More actions → Apply design. Choose "Default design" to reset them to the fixed default look (square, black, white), or choose one of your presets to apply that design to all selected codes.

Asset Library

What is the Asset Library?

The Asset Library (shown in the app as Asset Repository) is where you store logos and images for your organization. Assets you upload here can be used as the center logo in the Design Studio and as your organization's default logo for new QR codes.

Where to find it

Go to Settings → Tenant → Assets (or Asset Repository). You must have the appropriate plan and permissions (e.g. Editor, Admin) to upload and manage assets.

Uploading and managing assets

  • Click "Upload" or choose a file. Supported formats: JPEG, PNG, SVG, WebP, GIF. Maximum file size: 10MB.
  • After upload, you can optionally crop the image so the logo fits well inside the QR code.
  • Select an asset as your organization's default logo using "Set as logo" (or similar). This logo is then available in the Design Studio when creating or editing QR codes.
  • Delete assets you no longer need. If you delete the asset that is the selected logo, the selection is cleared.

Using assets in the Design Studio

When you open the Design Studio from create or edit QR code, you can pick a logo from your Asset Library. The Design Studio shows your uploaded assets; choose one to place it in the center of the QR code. You can also clear the logo. The selected logo is applied when you click "Apply design."
